Cooperation between our countries and people has a long history, and these relations did not break even during the civil war that hit Lebanon. Today, Hungary as a member of the European Union is seeking to expand and strengthen cooperation with Lebanon in political, economic, cultural and civil relations.

Within the framework of the Hungary Helps Program, the Hungarian Government has contributed 2.2 million dollars to the reconstruction of an educational and cultural center of the Syriac Maronite Church of Antioch in Aintoura, Lebanon. The opening ceremony of the complex took place on 18 June 2021.
