With respect to countries which have not joined the Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents, signed on 5 October 1961 (Apostille Convention), such as Lebanon, the documents intended for official use in Hungary should be legalised by the competent consular services.
The Consular Section carries out the diplomatic legalisation of official Lebanese documents that already have the necessary legalisation (“stamp”) from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of the Lebanese Republic.
Please note that the Consular Section does not carry out the legalisation of Syrian documents or Hungarian documents intended for use abroad.
