Building on the success of the past years, the 25th European Film Festival also took place this year in Lebanon. The viewers could see more than thirty European films from 24 January to 4 February 2019 in cinemas in and around Beirut. The film "Sunset" by the Oscar-winning Hungarian director László Nemes Jeles was shown twice at the Metropolis Cinema in Beirut.
