The official visit of Gebran Bassil, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants to Hungary
On 11 October, 2017 Gebran Bassil, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Lebanon, made an official visit to Budapest accompanied by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture of Lebanon, the president of the Tripoli Chamber of Commerce and businessmen representing the agricultural and food sectors. Gebran Bassil was received by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and had official talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Péter Szijjártó. The Lebanese party intends to increase its exports of agricultural products to Hungary and is interested in importing Hungarian agricultural know-how. The Lebanese Minister repeatedly thanked Hungary for supporting the reconstruction of Lebanese Churches.
Official visit of dr. Fischl Vilmos in Lebanon
Representing the Ecumenical Council of Hungarian Churches, Secretary General Dr. Vilmos Fischl led a delegation to Lebanon between 28-30 September where he met with His Beatitude the Maronite Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros al-Rahi.
On August 10, 2017 dr. Ambassador Géza Mihályi handed over his credentials to President Michel Aoun.
The official visit of Tamás Török, Deputy State Secretary to Lebanon
Tamás Török, Deputy State Secretary for the Aid of Persecuted Christians visited Lebanon on the 4th of July 2017 in order to sign the agreement on supporting the Syriac Catholic and Syriac Ortodox churches and to negotiate the implementation of the aid program.

Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade traveled to Lebanon on June 6, 2017 for an official visit. The Minister met with Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil, Nabih Berri, President of the Parliament, and Minister of Economic Affairs and Trade Raed Khoury.
